RETIREMENT SALE IN PRGRESS! MAKE AN OFFER! I am planning to sell off of my animals by fall of 2017, but honestly sooner than that would be fine. Farmland is to be put on the market in the spring!
Beech Springs Alpacas has been a medium sized farm in the northeast corner of North Carolina. It is a one woman operation, owned and managed by Kate Brown. The farm has grown from it's first starter package of 6 in 2003 to it's maximum of over 50, and to an average of 40 animals in Jan 2016. I have considered the farm venture as successful and immensely satisfying. Friends and sales have been made, networks expanded, and an appreciation of the saying of "nothing ventured, nothing gained". It is now time to scale back, so I am hoping to have all of my animals sold by the end of 2017. I have had some pretty terrific packages listed to help me get this accomplished.
I have excellent quality huacayas from outstanding bloodlines. My overall plan was to primarily breed for a solid medium to dark colored, dense and finely fleeced alpaca..an animal with good health, conformation and temperament (which is pretty nice when you are managing things yourself at age 60 something)
Call and schedule a visit...a trip just to learn more about the animals, say hello, or just to get a break on your way to a beach vacation @ the Outer Banks. I am able to tend to the alpacas myself (and occasional help with the cranky ones), while maintaining an environment of low stress, good health and quality breeding techniques. It is just perfect to be able to see them all from my kitchen and deck! Low stress, herd health and customer support...all of prime importance...and all available. Call for more information, or schedule a visit. I do plan to be continuing the store, Beech Star Alpaca Wear.
